Jill raves about Stéphane Jaulin...again

Large_r0As many of you know, I have a “thing” for L’Appartment 217 and Stéphane Jaulin. To me, this is the perfect French spa. I have never been a fan of overly perfumed products and over-the-top décor in spas. I want true results and a clear idea of what the brand is. L’Appartment 217 was started by Stéphane Jaulin, who wanted to create an environment of wellness, peace, and relaxation. You start out with an alkaline green shot for balancing your pH, then a cup of detox tea, and you’re off to your treatment.

When I was there, I saw several Paris models who were sent twice a week from the agencies to have a treatment in the Iyashi Dome, a slimming and detoxifing ceramic cylinder inspired by the Japanese tradition of hot sand baths. They said it absolutely got rid of all cellulite. I love the Iyashi dome and can’t wait for my next treatment, which will only be three hours away from Amsterdam on the Thalys train.

I also love Stéphane’s two-hour facial treatment. It’s so relaxing: layers and layers of an amazing massage and you feel like you have been away for a very long time. Stéphane is so knowledgeable on alkalining your body. He’ll sit with you and give you a full treatment plan to take home with you.

When you go to Paris and visit L'Appartment 217, tell them Jill Bucy sent you. While I may not always be in the studio, I'll be seeking out the best of the best in the world of natural skincare!

Jill talks changes at JBS, introduces Dany Diop

As you may know, my husband’s job is taking our family to live in the Netherlands. As you can imagine, we’re excited to start this new adventure.  While I may not be directly giving the facial treatments, I will be supporting Reini and Jill Bucy Skincare by bringing you the most exciting treatments and ideas from Europe and beyond. Reini Greene and her team will be delivering the same wonderful, effective anti-aging treatments and bringing the spa to a whole new level of service.

This summer, I was lucky enough to meet a true guru in skincare: Dany Diop. Dany grew up in Paris and has been working in Amsterdam for 12 years. He has trained extensively with my two personal favorites in true Parisian skincare: Joëlle Ciocco and Dr. Allouche Sr. It was a truly amazing two-hour facial treatment and I saw my skin get better and better over the next two weeks. His spa will be a regular haunt for me once we move.

What’s this mean for you? Well, Dany and I are going to try and work together in some way and I plan on bringing his methods to our spa in Queen Anne. And if you find yourself in the Netherlands, book an appointment with Dany at his beautiful spa, a nice little walk down the canals in the Jordan.

I am missing you all already but eager to report back on my travels through the world of European skincare!
